Prunus X Blireana Tree

Prunus x blireana is a beautiful small tree that puts on a show with a wonderful display of semi-double, rosy pink flowers that appear during March and last into April. The flowers are perfectly contrasted with the coppery-purple foliage. The flowers have a light scent and will attract birds, butterflies and bees into your garden, bringing with them movement and sound.

The Flowering Plum Tree is a cross between the purple-leaved plum, Prunus cerasifera ‘Pissardii’ and the Japanese apricot, Prunus mume.

Prunus x blireana is an excellent lawn statement tree for smaller gardens or where space is limited. It has tall, slender branches and will reach heights of 5m and a spread of 3m in a 20 year period. Your tree will grow in any well drained soil and prefers full sun.
